2012 RAFL CHAMPS NEW YORK PREDATORS

Overall Record - 19 - 1  Metrobowl Champions, NFE National Champion Runner-ups

Championship Venue - St. Augustine Prep, Richland, NJ

The Predators made it back to the championship game in 2012 and were able to keep the Gators strong offensive attack at bay until the 4th quarter.  The Predators became the first team in the RAFL to have multiple championships within the league. The Predators went on to win the metro-bowl and lost in the NFE National Championship game

2011 RAFL CHAMPS ELECTRIC CITY CHARGERS

Overall Record 17 - 1  Metrobowl Runner-up

Championship Venue- SUNY Maritime College, Bronx NY

The 2011 championship game was another thriller which was not decided until the last seconds of the game. Down by three scores the Electric City Chargers made a furious charge and took over the lead with a few minutes left in the game. The defending champions returned the kick to the Charger 17 yard and fast forward to the last play as the charger DB intercepted a pass in the end zone with 15 seconds left sealing the victory.


2010 RAFL CHAMPS NEW YORK PREDATORS

Overall Record 15 - 2 Metrobowl Champions, NFE National Champions

Championship Venue - Billings Field, Middletown, DE

The New York Predators defeated the Virginia Vipers 10 - 7 in the closest RAFL championship game played since the league's inception. The Preds secured the victory with a 96 yard drive which ended in the winning score with 18 seconds left in the game. The Predators went on to win the Metrobowl championship and then defeated the defending 2009 champion New Jersey Buccaneers in the National Championship game. The Buc's won the Harvest Bowl tournament which marked the first time two teams from one league faced off in the National Championship game.Following the championship game the Predators were named the NFE #1 team in the nation

2009 RAFL CHAMPS NEW JERSEY BUCCANEERS

Overall Record 19 and 2, Metrowbowl Champions, NFE National champions

Championship Venue - Monsignor Farrell, Alumni Stadium, Staten Island, NY

  • Staten Island, NY Alumni Stadium - In 2009 the New Jersey Buccaneers won the RAFL championship over the Virginia Kings 52-30. The game featured a dominant performance by QB Holmes and WR Charles Ransom. The Bucc's went on to win the Metrobowl title and then added the National Championship. On their way to the RAFL Championships the Bucc's defeated the Demon Knights, NY Predators, Brooklyn Mariners. In Tournament play the Bucc's also defeated the undefeated NY Rebels for the Metrobowl title and the Lowell Nor'Easter for the National titleIn three seasons an RAFL member team has played in the national championship game.Following the championship game the Bucc's were named the NFE #1 team in the nation

2008 RAFL CHAMPS BROOKLYN MARINERS

Overall Record 14 - 4, Harvest Bowl Runner-up

Championship Venue - Memorial Stadium, Scranton, PA

  • Scranton, PA Memorial Stadium - In 2008 the defending Prince William Monarchs were defeated by the new RAFL champions the Brooklyn Mariners 20 - 0 at Memorial Stadium in PA. Both teams had a hard fought road to the championship game as the Monarchs had to play the tough Warriors and Nemesis and the Mariners went on the road to defeat the 8 -1-1 NE Knights, the 9 - 2 Wolves and 12 - 0 Predators. The Mariners went on to lose in the Harvest bowl but the PW Monarchs ended up in the National Championship game after successfully defending their Metrobowl crown . The Monarchs lost the National Championship game to the Albany MetroMallers

2007 RAFL CHAMPS PRINCE WILLIAM MONARCHS

Overall Record 20 - 0 Metrobowl Champions, NFE National Champions

Championship Venue - Virgina

  • VA:--In 2007 the Prince William Monarchs became the first RAFL champions by defeating the New York Predators. Both teams went undefeated during the regular season. The PW Monarchs also were ranked #1 nationally and the Predators #13. The Monarchs went on to defeat the Preds again in the Metrobowl championship and then defeated the Brooklyn Mariners in the National championship game. Following their championship game the Monarchs were named the #1 team in the NFE Rankings.
