When was the last time the Central Penn Piranha were in last place in the division standings? Back in 1995 when they played their first-ever game in franchise history and lost. When was the last time that the Central Penn Piranha trailed both the DC Explosion and Lancaster Lightning in the division standings? Never.
All of those facts make this week's Piranha (7-1, 0-1) home event against the Philly Braves (1-1, 1-1) a must win game.
Central Penn is coming off a dismal performance two weeks ago in the Nation's Capital against the first place DC Explosion (3-0, 2-0). A loss this week would give DC the inside track to winning the West Division of the RAFL. A victory by the CPP would help them stay in the hunt for a division crown.
The only prior meeting between the Piranha and Braves was played last season (5/12/12) in Philadelphia, with Central Penn winning 40-6. Kickoff for this week's home game at West Perry H.S. is scheduled for 7:30 PM on Saturday July 27.
